Method development and validation

Method development and validation, according to ICH, is one of the main activities of the Analytical Laboratory for the pharmaceutical, chemistry and food industry.

Usual methodologies involve GC, GC-MS, HPLC or capillary electrophoresis in different types of matrices. Sample preparation may include solid and liquid phase extraction, solid phase microextraction and headspace.

The laboratory has also been engaged in the development of rapid methods such as FT-IR with ATR, for example for the determination of vitamin E in vegetable oils or biodiesel composition.

Validated methods may afterwards be transferred to the Sponsor's laboratory.
