Research Interests

The domain of specialization is Biotechnology and the fields of Bioprocessing (emphasis on Affinity Interactions), de novo Design of artificial receptors, Combinatorial Chemistry and Nanobiotechnology.

Current research projects focus on:

  • Affinity interactions between natural partners and between biomolecules and artificial receptors. Study of molecular interactions for the development of biomimetic ligands to purify and detect biomolecules with potential biotechnological interest.

  • Synthesis of solid-phase combinatorial libraries in miniaturised formats.

  • Biosensors; Detection of molecular interactions and selection of binding partners.
