Forest Genomics Meeting: Eucalypts Meet Genomics

Eucalypts are grown for timber, firewood, chemicals, soil reclamation, and pulp. E. globulus account for almost one third of Portuguese forest surface and 87.7% of pulp production. In 2002, the Portuguese pulp industries came in 3rd position in the rank of the greatest European pulp producers.
