Health Cluster Portugal IV Annual Conference - Paula Alves amongst the invited speakers
On November 28, the Health Cluster Portugal (HCP) held its IX Annual Conference, at NOVA SBE in Carcavelos, this year focusing in "Health in Portugal 2030: for a future with more development, better cohesion and greater competitiveness". Paula Alves, CEO of iBET, was one of the invited speakers and her participation was of great importance.
Dr Paula Alves was amongst the panel members for the roundtable "Internationalization of R&D and Health Services" that took place during the event, together with Luís Drummond Borges, Executive Director of Lusíadas Saúde, and Paulo Teixeira, General Director of Pfizer Portugal.
At this event, they were present close to 300 people that attended and participated in the conference proceedings.
The HCP has as its main objective the promotion and implementation of initiatives and activities leading to the consolidation of a national cluster for competitiveness, innovation and technology, with an international outlook and, as such, taking into account high standards of quality and professionalism, to promote and foster cooperation between companies, organizations, universities and public entities, with a view to increase business volume, exports and qualified employment, in the economic areas related to health and to the improvement of health care. iBET is one of the organisations operating in the Portuguese health value chain (between universities, other R&D institutions, hospitals, companies in the areas of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, ICT and services), that is member of HCP.
