IBET & GENIBET were present at the Bioprocessing Summit Europe
Last week, several scientists from iBET and Genibet were present at the 2nd Annual Bioprocessing Summit Europe presenting a total of 7 oral presentations in different sessions. The event took place from 19 to 21 March, in Lisbon, and could count with around 400 participants in three parallel streams: Upstream Processing, Downstream Processing and Cell and Gene Therapy.
The Bioprocessing Summit Europe brings together leading scientists of upstream, downstream and manufacturing of biomolecules to share challenges and practical solutions for today's bioprocessing needs. In its second year, this event presents the latest science, case studies, technology updates, and best practices featuring a Plenary Keynote session, Training Seminars, Short Courses, interactive Breakout Sessions and a lively Exhibit Hall to enable networking and discussion in bioprocessing and related fields.
This year, scientists from iBET participated in Breakout Sessions as moderators and panelists, presented 6 oral communications and served as chairpersons in three sessions. These were Dr Paula Alves, CEO of iBET and coordinator of the Animal Cell Technology Unit, Professor Manuel Carrondo, Vice-President of iBET and Dr Cristina Peixoto, head of Downstream Process Development Laboratory. Worth noting is the distinct role of Professor Manuel Carrondo who also served as chairperson of the plenary keynote session.
GenIbet participated with 1 oral presentation and was a corporate sponsor of the meeting.
