TRANSVAC: European Vaccine Research and Development Infrastructure

3rd Call for TRANSVAC training Module

Training scientists in vaccine research and development (R&D) is crucial in order to sustain Europe’s excellence in this field. The TRANSVAC2 Consortium has set up training modules at leading European centers that can be combined to create customised international courses on vaccine R&D. Two rounds of tailored training courses are planned. Participants can select topics as needed in their field of vaccine development and the timelines of the various modules are harmonized in a way that allows a logical continuation from one topic to the other.

The 3rd call is open for:

M4: Validity and comparison of animal models

Venue: Wageningen University (SWR)/ Lelystad, The Netherlands
Date: 6 – 7 June 2019 

M5: Statistics for Vaccine Evaluation

Venue: Biomedical Primate Research Centre (BPRC)/Rijswijk, the Netherlands
Date: 10 – 17 June 2019 

Launch of the call: 20th December 2018

Deadline for applications to be submitted: 1st  February 2019

Notification of application outcome: 1st  March 2019

Participants will be selected by a course selection panel.

The course is offered free of charge, however selected applicants will have to cover their own travel and visa expenses.

Candidates working in a European Union Member State or Associated Member State are eligible to apply. Candidates from other countries who are working in vaccine development projects funded by the European Commission (EC) or European and Developing Countries Clinical trial Partnership (EDCTP) will also be eligible to apply. Other candidates can also apply, but priority will be given to the groups mentioned above.
