Transgenic Forest Trees: time to harvest?"
The meeting Foresty Genomics will be an occasion to present the state of the art about Genetically Modified Forest Trees , including the progress in the last 25 years, biosafety analysis procedures (field assays and regulation), the public perception and acceptance of GMT. The 2nd edition of this Meeting is organized under projects funded by FCT, microEGO (PTDC/AGR-GPL/098179/2008)e P-KBBE TREEFORJOULES (P-KBBE/AGR_GPL/0001/2010) in collaboration with Instituto de Investigação Científica Tropical , I.P (IICT), Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica (IBET), Instituto de Biologia Química e Biolócia (ITQB), Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária, I.P. (INIAV), Laboratoire de Recherche en Sciences Végétales (LRSV, França), Centro de Informação de Biotecnologia (CiB) and COST Action FP0905.
