Researchers from iBET were present at the 4th Annual Bioprocessing Summit Europe Virtual. The event was held virtually from 16 to 17 March 2021 and brought together leading bioprocessing scientists to share challenges and solutions for the development, manufacture and quality of antibodies, vaccines and gene therapies. This conference was a valuable opportunity to disseminate iBET’s research and expertise on upstream and downstream bioprocessing and engage with international leaders in the field.
iBET researchers participated as panelists in several discussion panels and presente 3 oral communications:
- Ana Sofia Coroadinha shared insights on challenges in lentiviral vector development;
- Sofia Moreira presented improved strategies for lentiviral vectors purification;
- João Mendes discussed the purification of gene therapy vectors using continuous chromatography;
In addition, Ricardo Silva participated in a Breakout Session entitled “DSP, Process Intensification and Digitalization”.
The Bioprocessing Summit Europe meeting is focused on interactive discussions of detailed case studies in cell culture, scale-up, continuous processing, recovery, purification, process and product characterization, and formulation, organized into 4 main conference programs: Cell Culture and Bioproduction, Downstream Processing and Continuous Manufacturing, Gene Therapy Analytics and Manufacturing, Analytical Characterisation and Formulation.
