João Clemente is a Senior Bioprocess Engineer, Responsible for Process Engineering, Measurement and Control at iBET’s Bioproduction Unit.
João Clemente graduated in 1989 in Electrotechnical and Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, UTL (Technical University of Lisbon).
After a short period at Siemens (Energy and Industry Department) and in an IT Division from the Portuguese Army, he has been working at iBET’s Bioproduction Unit since 1991. Over more than 25 years, João Clemente participated in a wide range of R&D projects, some of them as PI and Co-PI, for many pharmaceutical companies, biotech SMEs and academic institutions. He was also involved in the start-up of two biotech companies: Genibet and mediaOmics.
