Flow Cytometry Technician
Intro
iBET is seeking a highly motivated Flow Cytometry Technician to join Animal Cell Technology Unit.
We are looking for a dedicated flow cytometry technician that can both take responsibility for maintenance and operation of the present and future flow cytometry equipment at IBET and guide users in their experimental design and analysis of results to further expand flow cytometry applications.
Tasks & Responsabilities
- Maintenance and quality control of flow cytometry equipment (cell sorters and analysers)
- Trouble shooting and contact with technical support
- Training and assistance on equipment usage (analyser and cell sorting)
- Training and assistance on Flow cytometry experimental design, protocol optimization and analysis of results
- Implement latest flow cytometry applications
Admission Requirements
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Biological, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related areas, with an average classification of at least 15.
Technical Skills
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior knowledge and hands on experience in multicolour flow cytometry.
- Prior knowledge and hands on experience in cell sorting
- Prior knowledge and hands on experience in spectral flow cytometry
- Prior knowledge and hands on experience in relevant softwares for flow cytometry data analysis and visualization (e.g. FlowJo, FCS express, OMIQ)
- Experience in cell staining for flow cytometry analysis
- Prior knowledge on immunology
- Knowledge on using programming languages like R and python for data analysis and visualization
