Operations Manager

iBET is seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to lead iBET’s operations team.
The Operations Manager will report directly to the CTOO and play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of iBET’s Operations Team. This role encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities, including the coordination of lab operations, procurement, logistics and customs.
As Operations Manager, you will drive the efficiency, safety, and innovation of iBET’s operations, supporting world-class research and development. You’ll lead a dynamic team, optimize lab and procurement processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Tasks and Responsabilities
- Lab & Facility Operations
- Ensure lab equipment safety and functionality through preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate lab support activities and manage external service providers.
- Collaborate on business continuity planning for critical lab operations.
- Sustainability & Safety
- Enforce protocols for safe disposal of biological and chemical waste.
- Promote sustainability through waste reduction, reuse, and recycling initiatives.
- Procurement & Logistics
- Conduct market research and benchmarking for lab consumables, equipment, and services.
- Manage e-purchasing platforms, product catalogs, and negotiate for cost and delivery optimization.
- Supervise logistics and warehouse activities to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Participate in business continuity planning for the supply chain.
- Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead and manage procurement, logistics, and support service teams.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and foster continuous improvement.
- Plan and manage area budgets.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for department activities.
Admission Requirements
- PhD degree in biotechnology / healthcare sciences.
- Proven experience in laboratory operations, facilities management, or a related role within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using laboratory software and inventory management systems.
