PhD Scientist – Natural Bioactives & Nutraceuticals

iBET is hiring a PhD scientist (D.L. n.º 57/2016, of August 29th, updated by the law n.º 57/2017, July 19th) to undertake research activities within the Project “Agenda VIIAFOOD – Plataforma para a Valorização, Industrialização e Inovação commercial para o Agroalimentar”, Ref. WP2|A2.3, financed by Programa de Recuperação e Resiliência (PRR), through the EC.

Education:

• PhD degree in Life Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceuticals Sciences and other relevant areas.

Professional Experience:

• Experience in analytical methodologies, including liquid and gas chromatography (LC and GC) coupled to mass spectrometry (MS);
• Experience in the development and validation of analytical methods by LC and GC-MS;
• Experience in spectroscopic methods, namely fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman, fluorescence and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR);
• Experience in the analysis of food contaminants, namely mineral oil hydrocarbons (MOH) in fats and other food matrices.
• Experience in data processing and statistical analysis

The recruitment is carried out by means of a work contract under the terms of the Portuguese Labour Code, for individuals holding a Doctoral Degree, corresponding to Level 33 of the single remuneration table (TRU), in accordance with Decree-Law no. 11-A /2017, of December 29.
