Post-doc Fellowship – Membrane Processes

iBET, has an open position for a research fellowship in the field of Biological Chemical Engineering available within the project Biological Chemical Engineering Ref. Multistr3am_OUT24, financed by the Bio Based Industries Joint Undertaking (JU) funds.

• Doctorate in Chemical and Biological Engineering or equivalent at the moment of signing the contract
• Good knowledge of English, spoken and written;
• Experience in the recovery of ions using electromembrane processes.

The workplan of the project involves the recovery of elements and/or charged compounds with high value from microalgae culture media using flow capacitive deionization. This process will be optimized, using different membranes and flow electrodes.

The fellowship will have a duration of 5 months, eventually renewed until the end of project, without prejudice of the maximum limits foreseen by law. The expected starting date is 1 of December of 2024.
