Quality Control Analyst

The Analytical Services Unit at iBET is seeking a highly motivated Analyst. As an Analyst, you will be integrated in a young dynamic team developing quality control analyses for biopharmaceutical products. You will advance the teams’ pipeline with the implementation and qualification of cell-based assays and execution of routine analysis for characterization of biotechnological products under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will have a major role in the enhancement of productivity, efficiency, quality, and timelines. A strong candidate will have previous experience in mammalian cell culture and in bioanalytical tools to characterize protein and viral vectors and in working in a highly regulated quality environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a young scientist to learn and work in a cutting-edge scientific institute.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•  Implement and validate methods of analysis for quality control activities for the Pharma industry
  assuring GMP compliance.
• Perform analyses and review analysis data of other analysts.
• Participate in the elaboration and revision of SOPs, manuals, forms and other documentation.
• Control of equipment.

Education and Experience

• BSc or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology or Biological Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related field.

Technical Skills

• Hands on experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays.
• Experience in analytical characterization of proteins and viral vectors (e.g. qPCR, virus titer assays, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, ELISA, immunocytochemistry).
• Preferably with knowledge in cGMP or other quality system.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, PBI, Outlook).
• Familiar with data acquisition and analysis software (e.g. Softmax, ImageLab).
• Fluent English spoken and written.
