Research Fellowship (BSc) – Plant Biotechnology

iBET, has an open position for a research fellowship in the field of Plant Biotechnology available within the project “Optimizing Plant Performance under Climate Change Scenarios “, Ref. 792, financed by iBETXplore.

– Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or related areas, with a minimum grade of 13 (out of 20);

– Laboratory experience in plant biology, including model plants (Arabidopsis thaliana);

– Experience in in vitro plant culture and analysis of root suberization in plants;

– Experience in the isolation, handling, and characterization of bacteria;

– Knowledge of RNA-seq data analysis;

– Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills;

– Excellent English knowledge;

– Immediate availability;

– Be enrolled in a PhD, or in a non-academic degree course, in accordance with the Article 6^th of “Regulamento de Bolsas de Investigação da Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P. from FCT”, law in force.

The fellowship will have a duration of 3 months, eventually renewed until the end of project, without prejudice of the maximum limits foreseen by law. The expected starting date is 1 of March of 2025.
