Research Fellowship (MSc) – Antibody Discovery for AAV and VLP Complexes Detection
Intro
Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica (iBET), Oeiras, Portugal, has a open position for a research fellowship in the field of Biotechnology available within the project “OPPURE – Sistemas intensivos de purificação de AAV”, Ref. PTDC/EQU-EQU/0142/2020 financed by National funds.
Admission Requirements
Education
- Master in Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related scientific areas
Other requirements:
- Experience in: Phage Display; protein production and purification; characterization of protein-protein binding; biophysical characterization techniques for proteins and protein complexes.
- High motivation to perform research in antibody discovery and new scaffolds for vaccine development.
- Good organizational and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Good use of the English language.
Work Plan
To perform panning campaigns using antibody phage display libraries against AAVs and VLP complexes, in order to identify new antibody candidates, produce them in mammalian cells and characterize them in terms of binding and biophysical properties.
Fellowship Duration
The fellowship will have a duration of 5 months, eventually renewed until the end of project, without prejudice of the maximum limits foreseen by law. The expected starting date is 1st of October of 2024.
