Research Fellowship (MSc) – Natural Bioactives and Nutraceuticals

iBET, has an open position for a master’s Research Fellowship within the scope of the project “SCORE”, Project Ref. PI-7000, funded by internal funds of iBET

• Master’s degree with a minimum grade of 15 in the scientific areas mentioned above
• Experience in the extraction processes of bioactive compounds from natural matrices
• Experience in high-pressure technologies, namely subcritical and supercritical fluids
• Critical thinking, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a team
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both in English and Portuguese

The main responsibilities include research activities within the scope of the SCORE project, focusing on the sustainable extraction of collagen from animal by-products of the food industry. The tasks to be developed include extraction, characterization, and preparation of scientific reports, as well as active participation in periodic meetings. Additionally, the position requires contributing to general laboratory tasks, promoting a culture of collaboration, achievement, and continuous improvement.

The fellowship will have a duration of 6 months, eventually renewed until the end of project, without prejudice of the maximum limits foreseen by law. The expected starting date is 1 of July of 2026.
