Research Fellowship (MSc) – Stem and Immune Cells Bioengineering
Intro
Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica (iBET), Oeiras, Portugal, has a open position for a research fellowship in the field of Biological Engineering available within the project “Next generation, off-the-shelf, non fratricide-directed CAR immunotherapy for relapse/refractory T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia“ Ref. 101113067, financed by European Commission.
Admission Requirements
Master in Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry and related areas, with final grade equal or superior to 15/20. Experience in: 1) Mammalian or human stem cell culture techniques; 2) lentiviral transduction protocols; 3) analytics for characterization of cells (flow cytometry, metabolism, immunofluorescence microscopy); 4) 3D cell culture; 5) CAR-T cell manufacturing.
Proficient use of the English language, both spoken and written (candidates with internships and/or periods abroad will be valued). Motivation for applied research and good teamwork skills will be valued.
Work Plan
Development of bioprocesses for manufacture of CAR-T cells and methodologies for their characterization.
Fellowship Duration
The fellowship will have a duration of 6 months, eventually renewed until the end of project, without prejudice of the maximum limits foreseen by law. The expected starting date is 1 of August of 2024.
