iBET researchers Jose Escandell, Henrique Vazão de Almeida and Francisco Nascimento were awarded with a grant under the 3rd edition of the Individual Scientific Employment Stimulus Competition (CEEC). These grants will help to advance our research and innovation on biochemistry, bioengineering, biomaterials and microbial biotechnology.
The Individual Scientific Employment Stimulus Competition (CEEC) is an initiative promoted by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) aiming to stimulate excelence in science by supporting national research organizations to attract and retain TOP scientists. According to FCT, 3648 applications were evaluated. The 300 applications selected for contract correspond to 8.2% success rate, highlighting the competitiveness of iBET’s researchers.
The CEEC Individual is one of the financing instruments for researchers defined by the Regulation of Scientific Employment launched in 2017 by FCT. Throughout its three editions, a total of 1100 contracts have already been awarded to doctoral researchers. For more information visite FCT website.
