Biography
I am a scientist at Bayer Satellite Lab at iBET since 2021. My research activity is focused on biologic drugs discovery and development. My competences include antibody selection by phage display technology; cell-based, biochemical, and immunological assays for screening of disease-relevant targets and antibodies.
I hold a Biochemistry degree (2009) and MSc (2011) from Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade de Lisboa, a post-graduate degree in General Business Management from Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (2015) and a PhD in Molecular biosciences (2018) from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2021). During my PhD I i) produced and characterized breast cancer-relevant recombinant proteins to use as targets for antibody selection; ii) selected, produced, and characterized antibodies against breast cancer targets; iii) performed functional in vitro and in vivo assays to determine selected antibodies therapeutic efficacy in breast cancer cell and mice models.
I authored 10 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and 11 poster communications at national and international conferences.
