Laurent Cotter
Scientist / Advanced Cell Models for Drug Discovery and Translational Research

I am a Senior Scientist at the Advanced Cell Models (ACM) Lab, where I have been working since October 2023. My research is focused on neurological disorders.
I use 3D neurospheroids derived from human-induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) to model these pathologies. My special interests include glial cells, specifically oligodendrocytes. I also have expertise in viral particle production to knock-in or knock-out any proteins of interest, confocal imaging, and engineered proteins to elucidate cellular processes. I hold an MSc in Integrative and cellular Biology from Grenoble University, France, and a PhD in Neuosciences from Montpellier University (2016). My past professional experience includes roles as a researcher at IPSEN, a biopharmaceutical company, and the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) from 2017 to 2023.
