The new Data Analytics Center of iBET brings together data management and advanced analytics expertise to leverage knowledge and value creation.
The Data Analytics Center was created in 2022 to aggregate all activities concerning data assets, data integrity, data governance, and data science, interacting at a high level with Security, Compliance, and IT.
To have a strong base for data analytics, in 2022 the focus of Data Management activities was two-fold: implement procedures and policies to ensure a proper flux of data throughout its entire life cycle and improve the infrastructure that ensures proper data storage, backup, archiving and integrity.
To foster R&D, Biosystems and Data Science activities focused on assimilating internal skills, reinforcing internal collaborations within ongoing projects, and outreach to future external partners.
The new Business Intelligence area partnered with several groups within iBET to find new ways to use data, providing new reports to aid in decision-making in different areas of iBET.
Areas of Activity:
Data Management – Global data management strategies, good data management practices.
Biosystems and Data Science – Advanced analytics, including machine learning and mechanistic models, to address complex biological systems.
Business intelligence – Gather and transmit business data and insights to support better decision-making.
