AINIA is a private technology center specialized in agri-food RD&I, with key areas of expertise including Food for the Future, Food Quality and Security, Green Transition, Digital Transformation, and Precision Farming.

The visit aimed to explore potential synergies and identify opportunities for collaboration between the two organizations.

Representing iBET were Manuel Carrondo (Vice President for Business Development), Maria Lina Dionísio (Director), along with principal investigators Teresa Crespo, Teresa Serra, and Rosário Bronze. From AINIA, the delegation included Cristina del Campo (CEO), Begona Ruiz (Director of Technologies), and Diana Costa (Business Development Representative in Portugal).

During the meeting, representatives from both organizations presented their respective R&D expertise and shared their common goals in supporting the agri-food industry.

Following the meeting, the AINIA team toured several of iBET’s laboratory facilities, including the Natural Bioactives and Nutraceuticals Area, the Microbiology for Sustainability Area, and the Technological Platform support unit.

iBET was honored to host AINIA and looks forward to exploring potential collaborative projects in the future.
