iBET Hosts Students from European Doctoral Network for Hands-on Bioprocess Development Training
Training the Next Generation of Bionanoparticle Scientists
From June 3-5, iBET welcomed a group of doctoral students from the MSCA CAARE Doctoral Network for a comprehensive training program focused on Bioprocess Development of Bionanoparticles.
The training sessions covered key areas such as Upstream and Downstream Processing, Chromatography and Filtration Techniques, and Bioprocess Modelling Strategies. Highlighted topics also included an Introduction on GMP Manufacturing Requirements and the challenges of GMP Technology Transfer, complemented by a tour of iBET’s Late-Stage R&D and Bioproduction Unit and GenIbet Biopharmaceuticals’ (now ReciBiopharm) facility.

iBET hosted a training session (organized by Cristina Peixoto) for a group of doctoral students from CAARE doctoral network. Prof. Alois Jungbauer (CAARE Project Coordinator) was also present.
A special thank you to Cristina Peixoto (Head of iBET’s Downstream Process Development Lab and co-coordinator of the Late Stage R&D and Bioproduction Unit) for organizing this training event. We also sincerely thank all participants and lecturers for their active engagement and contributions, including Professor Alois Jungbauer (CAARE Project Coordinator).
About CAARE
CAARE (Characterization and Analysis of Advanced biotherapeutics through Robust Engineering) is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network focused on advancing downstream processing and analytical technologies for bionanoparticles’ manufacturing.
iBET is one of the seven European consortium partners and a host institution for two of the doctoral projects.
