Catarina Brito was an invited speaker at the 3D Cell Culture Workshop by ICT Mumbai

Catarina Brito, head of the Advanced Cell Models Laboratory at iBET, gave a talk on Modelling Cell Microenvironment Dynamics in Disease at the 3D Cell Culture Workshop hosted by Nanomedicine Research Group, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai on 27-29 January.

The aim of this virtual symposium was to highlight the significance of artificial organs/tissue constructs for drug development and regenerative medicine.

Co-organised by Dr. Prajakta Dandekar Jain and Dr. Ratnesh Jain from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, this workshop provided a place for discussion of the latest technological developments in 3D cell culture, including organoids and tumoroids, 3D bioprinted artificial tissues/organs and organ-on-chip in regenerative medicine, drug discovery and cutting-edge research in alternative to animal model testing.
