Congress SPCCTV: 4D Visions19 – Surgery Without Borders

iBET was present at the annual congress of SPCCTV - Sociedade Portuguesa de Cirurgia Cardiotorácica e Vascular, "4D Visions 19 - Surgery Without Borders". The congress took place at Algarve between the 22nd and 24th of November.

Paula Alves, CEO of iBET, presented a communication entitled "Proteomics/Metabolomics in HFPEF" and Henrique Almeida, scientist from the Animal Cell Technology Unit (iBET) presented his work on an oral communication entitled "Extracellular-matrix functionalization of human iPSC-based cardiac tissues improves cardiomyocyte maturation". Both communications were presented within the Translational Medical Science Program.

In addition to Translational Medical Science, 4D Visions 19 adressed topics such as advanced techniques in Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. Gathering a diverse panel of participants from leading research organizations to hospitals, this congress enabled the discussion of key challenges in cardiovascular diseases with several stakeholders.
