Highlighting the Impact of EU Funding in the Development of iBET Biofarma
iBET was featured in an episode of + Europa, a series co-produced by SIC Notícias and Expresso, highlighting impactful national projects and institutions supported by European funds.
Selected as one of the 20 standout initiatives, the episode focused on iBET’s pioneering contributions to biotechnology and health, particularly the role of EU funding in the construction of the iBET Biofarma building: a Technology Valorization and Transfer Center (TVTC).
In the segment, Prof. Paula Alves (CEO of iBET) emphasized how the iBET Biofarma, inaugurated in 2023 and co-funded by the EU through FEDER with approximately 9 million euros, has expanded and modernized the institute’s R&D infrastructure, enabling new industry collaborations and creating more qualified job opportunities.
