iBET Joins TEC4GREEN Consortium to Advance Green Technologies in Agriculture
The TEC4GREEN mobilizing agenda, funded under the umbrella of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) has been approved and is presently finalizing the agreement of all contractual terms.
Its primary objective is to prepare the agro-industrial sector for forthcoming challenges while mitigating the environmental impact and promoting sector sustainability.
To achieve this, the agenda seeks to develop a new generation of hybrid and biological products for the protection and nourishment of agricultural crops. It also aims to showcase the potential of digital farming technologies, implement agronomic decarbonization for carbon neutrality, and valorize water streams and agricultural by-products for green energy production and circular economy promotion.
iBET is one of the 18 partners of the consortium led by Ascenza Agro, which includes several academic institutes and universities, as well as industrial and technological partners.

iBET’s expertise on microbiology and biotechnology for agricultural/food applications, particularly in soil metabolization and plant stimulation, along with its expertise in extraction and formulation of bioactive compounds, will play an important role in achieving the proposed goals of the different work packages.
With a total investment of 49 million euros and an additional approved incentive of 16 million euros, Tec4Green is set to conclude at the end of 2025.
