iBET researchers contributed to 2012 Pfizer research prize winning publication

Research at IBET contributed to award-winning publication One of the  of the winners of the 2012 Pfizer Research Prize, awarded by the  Lisbon Medical Sciences Society was the work entitled "BLD10/CEP135 is a microtubule-associated protein that controls the  formation of the flagellum central microtubule pair" recently  published in Developmental Cell. This work was led by Mónica Bettencourt-Dias, head of the Cell Cycle Regulation at IGC. Three IBET/ITQB researchers (Tiago Bandeiras, Micael Freitas and Sara Silva) from the Proteomics Unit are co-authors of this publication. This work stands as an example of a fruitful collaboration between different institutions of the Associated Laboratory LA-ITQB.
