Three oral presentations by iBET’s scientists at 15th Annual PEGS Meeting

A team of iBET’s scientists attended the 15th Annual Protein and Antibody Engineering Summit (PEGS) Europe, which took place in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 14-16th.

iBET’s contribution to the conference included the following oral presentations:

Gabriela Silva, Senior Scientist at the Advanced Cell Models Lab - Oral presentation entitled “Novel scFv against the Notch ligand JAG1 suitable for the development of cell therapies towards JAG1-positive tumors”.

Ana Sofia Coroadinha, Head of the Cell Line Development and Molecular Virology Lab – Oral presentation entitled “Cell Line Development and Engineering Strategies for the Manufacture of Lentiviral Gene Therapy Vectors”, in the session “Overcoming Expression and Production challenges of difficult-to-express proteins” where she also served as chairwoman.

Bárbara Fernandes, Senior Research Associate at the Bayer Satellite Lab, spoke about “Improving the production of biologics using insect cells” during the short course “The Use and Optimization of Eukaryotic Expression Systems to Support Therapeutic Generation and Structural Biology”.

PEGS Europe is the largest protein and antibody engineering event in Europe, attracting over 1500 experts in the field. This year’s emphasis was on the topics of machine learning and bispecific antibodies.
