Naming iBET Biofarma communal spaces

Our new research unit iBET Biofarma, officially inaugurated in June, is now fully operational and buzzing with scientific, training and networking activities.
To give our new meeting rooms and common areas a unique identity, the iBET People and Culture Office organized a team building contest called “What is in a Name?”. Teams comprising 3 to 5 iBETians, from different labs and areas of activity, were invited to propose name ideas for the 5 unnamed common spaces at Biofarma.

The response was overwhelming, with the participation of over 24 teams across all areas of iBET, resulting in an array of creative and inspiring submissions.

After much deliberation by the jury, formed by iBETians from all areas and seniority levels within the institute, a consensus was reached, and the new rooms are now named: iBreak (cafeteria), BioSphere (Auditorium) which can be split into Bio and Sphere rooms, and the Vineyard, Ocean and Vision meeting rooms.

On October 4th, iBET hosted an informal gathering to distribute the prizes to all participating teams and celebrate the achievement that iBET Biofarma represents to our community.

We extend our gratitude to all the participating teams, the jury, the board of directors and the People & Culture office for their hard work and dedication in organizing this fantastic team building activity.
