“Operationalizing Strategy” Workshops for iBET Leaders

Hitto Kaufmann, member of iBET’s Scientific Advisory Board and CSO at Pieris, returned to iBET at the end of September for a series of workshops entitled “Operationalizing Strategy”.

Included in our Career Development Program, these workshops were targeted to iBET’s Heads of Areas, Team Leaders, and Senior Scientists; focusing on topics such as Leadership, People and Culture and the Management Framework to Ensure Execution.

After some creative ice-breaker exercises and an introductory discussion on the importance of making choices to define a strategy, Hitto Kaufmann provided several tools for effective leadership.

These included a strong focus on communication aspects and the Security Based Leadership Model for successfully leading teams. Topics such as feedback, motivation and empowerment of team members were also discussed.
The workshop’s final segment included practical exercises for defining objectives and key results to help teams achieve their goals.

We were delighted by the positive feedback from the participants, who found this workshop highly valuable.
