Tissue Organoids as Models of Host Physiology and Pathophysiology of Disease
iBET researcher Catarina Brito, head of the Advanced Cell Models Lab, participated in the "Tissue Organoids as Models of Host Physiology and Pathophysiology of Disease" conference. The event took place from 19 to 23 January in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
At the meeting, Catarina Brito presented an oral communication entitled "Modelling Neuronal Microenvironment Dynamic in Disease". In it, Catarina shared the work that is being done at the Advanced Cell Models Lab, focused on the study of cellular microenvironment in disease progression and therapeutic response.
This meeting aimed to help investigators make the connection and explore the potential of tissue organoids, to become new methods for diagnosis, therapeutic selection and regenerative medicine therapeutics themselves. Click here to learn more about this conference.
