Vanessa Pereira included in the book “Mulheres na Ciência” 2023
iBET’s researcher, Vanessa Pereira, was one of the 101 women honoured by Ciência Viva in the book “Mulheres na Ciência” 2023.
The book was launched in an official ceremony at Pavilhão do Conhecimento in Lisbon, on March 8, International Women’s Day.
The initiative, now on its 4th edition, aims to recognize and honour the valuable work done by Portuguese female scientists. The editorial project portraits 101 female researchers and what motivates them across a variety of scientific fields.
In the book (only in Portuguese), Vanessa states that she is motivated by working with multidisciplinary teams and exploring solutions for environmental problems faced by society and companies.
Vanessa Pereira, researcher at the Membrane Processes Lab, focuses her work on water and wastewater quality and membrane filtration processes.
