VIIAFOOD

Supporting the Portuguese food sector through the development of innovative and healthy products

The VIIAFOOD Agenda aims to promote the structural transformation of the Agri-food sector in Portugal in line with the objectives set out in the sector pact for Competitiveness and Internationalization of the Agri-food Sector. This will be achieved through the creation of a national-scale platform for the development of innovative products, processes, and services, resulting in a coordinated strategic plan with joint measures and actions aimed at the common goals of the sector.

In this way, the VIIAFOOD Agenda seeks to strengthen collaboration between business entities in the agri-industrial sector, inter-sectorial companies (related industries), and non-business entities (ENESII, Associations, and CoLABs) that contribute or have the potential to contribute significantly to the Agri-food sector. This is intended to leverage the creation of synergies and the transfer of knowledge and technologies, accelerating Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) in the context of the Agri-food sector.

iBET is one of the 49 partners taking part in the VIIAFOOD mobilizing agenda, with a global investment of more than 110 million of euros.
