Biography
I am a Scientist at Novartis Pharma Lab, where I have been working since 2023. In this role, I have contributed to Novartis’s R&D pipeline, working and managing projects that aim to develop virus-based therapeutics.
I hold an MSc in Cell Biology and Biotechnology from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, Portugal (2012) and a PhD in Engineering and Technological Sciences from the Nova University of Lisbon, Portugal (2020).
As an ATMP enthusiast, I am curious to be on top of technology and clinical trial trends and seek to have a meaningful impact on the field. At iBET since 2011, I have worked and collaborated with different research groups. Building-up experience in different steps of virus-based therapeutics production, namely, molecular engineering of vector expression cassettes, producer cell line development, upstream & downstream bioprocessing, and a diverse array of bioanalytical methods.
