I am a scientist at the Late-Stage R&D and Bioproduction Unit since 2021.
In my role, I manage and execute R&D and production projects, working closely with both industry and academia. My research focuses on the upstream and downstream processing of viral vectors and biomolecules, including their analytical characterization. I am also actively involved in European research projects and internal iBET projects.
I hold a PhD in Biotechnology and Biosciences from Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon, Portugal) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY, USA), which I completed in 2020. Before joining iBET, I worked at Hovione (2020-2021) as an analytical chemist, providing analytical support in process development and manufacturing projects under cGMP regulation.
