I am a scientist at Bayer Pharma Lab since 2025, where I coordinate the Protein Production Platform team.
As a Bioprocess Scientist, I focus on developing and optimizing efficient protein production workflows to improve yield, consistency, and quality of proteins and antibodies. At iBET, where I have been since 2021, I am also actively involved in internal projects, including AAV projects and the development of environmentally sustainable biotechnological solutions.
I hold a PhD in Biotechnology and Biosciences from Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon, Portugal) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY, USA), which I completed in 2020. Before joining iBET, I worked at Hovione (2020-2021) as an analytical chemist, providing analytical support in process development and manufacturing projects under cGMP regulation.
