Biography

I am a Scientist at iBET, working in the Natural Bioactives and Nutraceuticals Area. My research focuses on the discovery and preclinical evaluation of natural compounds with neuroactive potential, integrating pharmacology, drug delivery, and supercritical fluid technologies, as well as toxicity studies within a translational framework.

My special interests include neuropsychopharmacology and the use of clean technologies for the valorization of bioactive compounds from natural sources. Over the years, I have supervised undergraduate and graduate students, coordinated research programs, mentored Master’s and Ph.D. students, and authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications.

I hold a degree in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2009), an MSc (2011) and a PhD (2014) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, followed by postdoctoral training at UFRGS (2015–2016), where I specialized in primary neuronal cultures.

My international research experience includes work at INMED/INSERM – Aix-Marseille University (France), the University of São Paulo (Brazil), and Aarhus University (Denmark).
