Biography
I am a Principal Scientist at the Bayer Pharma Lab since 2017. Currently, I coordinate the assay development team, aiming to implement biochemical and cell assays for target validation and screening of antibodies in research areas associated with inflammatory diseases and immunoprofiling. Besides, I coordinate a research project focused on pre-clinical evaluation of immunogenicity.
I graduated in Cell biology and Biotechnology and completed my PhD in Bioengineering systems (MIT-Portugal program) in 2015. My doctoral thesis focused on the development of hepatic cell models and I pursued post-doctoral studies in complex tumor microenvironment cell models, with emphasis on the interaction between tumor and immune cells, both in the Advanced cell models lab at iBET.
In addition, I worked as project manager of R&D projects at the pharmaceutical company Hovione.
