Our focus within Biopharma R&D lies in Bioprocess development for Biopharmaceuticals, ATMPs (gene and cell-based therapies) and Vaccines.

Early stage R&D
Support of early-stage R&D, from cell line development and virus design and engineering to small-scale expression and purification platforms for ATMPs and vaccines, using mammalian and insect cells.
Bioprocess Development
Bioprocess expertise including Upstream Processing (devising strategies to monitor, control and optimize product titer, and quality), and Downstream Processing (developing solutions to reduce manufacturing costs while increasing product recovery yields, quality, and safety).
BioAnalytics
Development of analytical assays to characterize cells, host-virus interactions and product quality and potency. The data collected often supports the creation and informs comprehensive models that provide valuable insights into process performance.
Scale-Up
Establishment of scalable processes, compliant with GMP guidelines, to produce ATMPs, vaccines and recombinant proteins. Our capabilities include process scale-up in stirred-tank bioreactors up to 50 L.
Tech Transfer
Ensuring technology transfer to CDMOs, including shadowing of key process operations.

Satellite labs
Launched in 2009, our Satellite Labs program is a unique innovation model born from long-standing successful partnerships with international pharma companies.
Satellite laboratories benefit from fully dedicated laboratory spaces and teams exclusively devoted to research within the network of each company.
Staffed with highly skilled scientists, each satellite lab is overseen by a lab head who serves as the primary liaison, facilitating the direct communication between both entities. This ensures a deep understanding of both parties’ goals and fosters seamless collaboration with the utmost trust and confidentiality.
Satellite Lab teams benefit from access to iBET’s solid expertise on bioprocess development and complementary scientific support infrastructures, such as the Late-Stage R&D and Bioproduction Unit and the Analytical Services Unit.
Contract Research Projects
