Five Strategies to be Successful in AAV Manufacturing

On May 25, iBET had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Eduard Ayuso, co-founder and CTO of DINAMIQS and a recognized expert in viral vector manufacturing for a seminar titled “Five Strategies to be Successful in AAV Manufacturing”.

During his presentation, Dr. Ayuso shared insights from an extensive scientific career spanning more than two decades across academia and industry, supported by over 50 scientific publications. His work has significantly advanced the fields of in vivo gene transfer in small and large animal disease models, as well as viral vector development and analytics.

Dr. Ayuso has held several key leadership roles, including Head of Innovative Vectorology at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM); Scientific Director of the Translational Vector Core Unit at the University of Nantes; and CTO of DiNAQOR, a gene therapy company focused on cardiac and kidney disorders. He is also the co-founder of DINAMIQS, a CDMO specializing in AAV and lentiviral vector manufacturing.

Open to the entire iNOVA4Health research unit community, the seminar provided valuable insights into the challenges of AAV manufacturing, with particular emphasis on the importance of early vector optimization and the integration of analytical strategies throughout bioprocess development to improve process robustness, scalability, and translational success.

iBET extends its sincere thanks to Dr. Ayuso for sharing his expertise and delivering an inspiring and informative presentation.
