Two oral presentations on cutting edge developments in cell and gene therapy biomanufacturing
iBET scientists António Roldão and Ricardo Silva participated in the Advanced Therapies UK 2026 conference, held from 17-19 March in London, UK.

Scientists contributed with two oral presentations, session chairing, and a round-table participation, highlighting the institute’s expertise in cell and gene therapy bioprocessing:
– Ricardo Silva (Principal Scientist) delivered an oral presentation on “Standardising Process Development for different Cell Therapy Productions”, also contributing as session chair.
– António Roldão (Head of Cell-based Vaccines Development Lab and Coordinator of the Late-stage R&D Unit) presented a talk on “Integrated Continuous Biomanufacturing of AAVs” and participated in the round-table discussion within the same session entitled “Exploring the Evolving Landscape of Viral Vector Manufacturing”.
