Strengthening Global Biopharma Engagement at BIO‑Europe Spring 2026: iBET and Recipharm Advanced Bio Host On‑site Visit
Visit highlights integrated infrastructures supporting biopharmaceutical development from early R&D to clinical-trial manufacturing
On March 25, iBET welcomed several international biopharma industry representatives to its facilities in Oeiras, in the context of the BIO-Europe Spring 2026 conference, held in Lisbon, Portugal.
The on-site visit was organized in collaboration with Recipharm Advanced Bio (formerly iBET’s spin‑off GenIbet Biopharmaceuticals), demonstrating the complementary capabilities available across both organizations.
Integrated Biopharma Development Capabilities
During the session, attendees were introduced to:
-iBET’s R&D expertise and the Partner Research Organization (PRO) model, presented by Pedro Cruz (CTOO);
-Recipharm Advanced Bio’s CDMO capabilities at the Oeiras site, presented by Raquel Fortunato (Managing Director at the Oeiras site).
Pedro Cruz and Raquel Fortunato opened the visit with brief presentations on each organization’s capabilities.
A guided tour of the facilities highlighted how the two infrastructures operate independently while enabling a smooth progression from early-stage R&D at iBET to clinical‑trial manufacturing at Recipharm Advanced Bio, when required.
Andreia Veríssimo and Cristina Peixoto guided visitors through iBET’s Late‑Stage R&D and Bioproduction Unit and iBET Biofarma facilities.
iBET was also honored to welcome representatives from the Oeiras Municipality, including Councilor Pedro Patacho, who emphasized Oeiras Valley’s strong commitment to science and innovation. The visit additionally included delegates from NOVA University of Lisbon, among them Vice‑Rector Isabel Rocha.
BIO-Europe Spring is Europe’s largest springtime biotech partnering event, bringing together over 3,700 leaders and innovators in the life sciences sector. The conference serves as a global platform for partnering, business development, and licensing opportunities in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
