iBET's Leadership Recognized in Career-long Impact Global Ranking by Stanford University and Elsevier
iBET is proud to share that our CEO Professor Paula Alves, and VP for Business Development Professor Manuel Carrondo, have been featured in the 2025 edition of the “World’s Top 2% Most-cited Scientists” career-long list, recently announced by Stanford University and Elsevier.
This rank is based on data from researcher’s Scopus profiles and identifies the top 2% most-cited scientists worldwide across 22 major scientific fields and 174 subfields, analyzing data from more than 200 000 researchers. The ranking includes two lists: one reflecting career-long citation impact, and another focused on citations from the most recent year (2024).
Prof. Paula Alves and Prof. Manuel Carrondo have authored 351 and 281 scientific publications respectively (as of the end of 2024), contributing extensively to advancements in the categories Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering and Enabling and Strategic Technologies.
Their inclusion in the career-long impact list reflects not only the volume of work produced throughout their careers, as well as its relevance and influence within the scientific community.
