iBETXplore Day 2026 fostered two complementary moments designed to move from open exploration to focused collaboration.
On May 7th and 8th, iBET hosted its annual conference, iBETXplore Day 2026, this year with a new format.
Xploration Day
May 7th, the Xploration Day, marked the opening of our annual event dedicated to presenting the scientific advances driven by our internal innovation program. The day brought together the iBET scientific community alongside national and international collaborators. Participants were invited to learn about the main outcomes of previously funded projects and to engage with the latest developments from ongoing and recently funded initiatives.
Acceleration Day
After a first day focused on exploring the projects supported by the iBETXplore program, the second day shifted towards accelerating these ideas.
The Acceleration Day focused on presenting both ongoing and newly funded projects, and fostered discussions with invited experts to advance concrete collaboration opportunities and strengthen strategic networks.
iBETXplore - Seeding iBET's Future
iBET’s internal innovation program was created to support bold research ideas from our scientists that can lead to new technologies, methodologies, and research topics.
Since its launch in 2017, the program has invested over €4.7M and funded 59 projects in the Biofarma and Sustainability for Food & Health areas.
The 2025 call approved 7 new projects, with a total investment of over 770K Euros.
It was a pleasure to see a full house and active scientific discussions across both days.
