iBET PhD Student Cláudia Paiva Receives ACTIP Fellowship Award

Reducing Auto-Transduction on Stable Lentiviral Vector Producer Cell Line

Cláudia Paiva, PhD student at iBET’s Downstream Process Development Lab, was recently awarded an ACTIP Fellowship, a recognition that provided her the opportunity to present her work at the latest ACTIP meeting, held in Biberach, Germany, from September 24 to 26.

The Advanced Cell Technology Platform (ACTIP) is a non-profit association that brings together European companies and research institutions to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of Advanced Cell Technologies for industrial applications.

As an ACTIP Fellow, Cláudia presented her work on “Reducing Auto-Transduction on Stable Lentiviral Vector Producer Cell Line”, part of her doctoral research developed in collaboration with CSL Behring International.

Several iBET scientists also took part in the meeting, including Ana Sofia Coroadinha (Head of the Cell Line Development and Molecular Virology Lab), Catarina Brito (Head of the Advanced Cell Models Lab), and Marta Costa (Principal Scientist at the Stem and Immune Cells Bioengineering Lab).

Congratulations Cláudia and remaining iBET team for continuing to advance the field of Advanced Cell Technologies.
